Prototype filter elements for development and testing
Test the filtration in your machine before you commit to series production — with prototype elements built to your requirements.

In a development project, the filtration usually has to be validated in the real machine or on a test rig. R+F FilterElements supplies prototype filter elements and media samples for exactly this phase — and adjusts medium and construction based on your test results until the element is ready for series production.
From prototype to series
Each loop brings the element closer to your target.
Define the test target
What should the test show — filtrate quality, differential pressure, service life, cleanability?
Build prototypes
Prototype elements or media samples in the agreed geometry and medium.
Test in your application
You test under real operating conditions in your machine or on your test rig.
Evaluate together
We review the results with you and identify what to change.
Adjust
Medium, filtration grade or construction are adjusted in a further prototype loop if needed.
Release for series
The approved design is transferred into reproducible series production.
What helps us build the right prototype
- Description of the separation task and the medium to be filtered.
- Available installation space and connection situation.
- Operating parameters: flow rate, pressure, temperature, chemical environment.
- Your test plan: which values you will measure and what counts as success.
Quantities
Prototype quantities and lead times depend on medium and construction and are agreed per project.
Frequently asked questions
How many prototypes can I order?
Prototype quantities are agreed per project, depending on your test plan, medium and construction.
What happens if the first prototype does not meet the target?
We evaluate the test results with you and adjust medium, filtration grade or construction in a further prototype loop.
Can the prototype go directly into series production?
Yes. Once the design is approved, it is transferred into series production.
Plan your prototype
Describe your development project in the OEM assessment — we do not need a complete specification.
